Ghana has a quarter of the number of doctors it needs to sustain its health service – with many hospital staff leaving as soon as they can after training for better conditions abroad.

This 'brain drain' affects many African countries as medical staff find they are in demand in North America and Europe.

Edwin Kumah Drah finds out why Ghanaian doctors are reluctant to stay in the country that trained them.
