Michael Jaiyeola is a yam farmer in the village of Alabata. Although he is modestly successful, he doesn’t think the future of farming is bright. Start-up costs are high and there's little government support.
He told reporter Eniwoke Ibagere why he believes the younger generation will leave the land behind and head for the cities.
