Many of the Somalis living and working in the UK capital, London try to send money back regularly to the families they have left behind.

In the absence of any banking services in Somalia and faced with transfer companies charging high rates of commission, they often prefer to use a system known as Hawala.

This report is from Harun Hassan in London, who visited a hawala branch.
