Thirty years ago, Afghan women were making strides socially and professionally in its cities. During the years of warfare and civil strife, they were virtually erased from the public face of their nation.
Today, women are returning to public life. Anisa Wahab is an Afghan celebrity who spent several years as a refugee in Pakistan. She spoke to Abdul Saboor Noorzad about her work and the ongoing battle that Afghan women face to gain basic human rights.
