Nelson Mandela has warned the world it cannot defeat AIDS unless it also fights tuberculosis. It is biggest killer of HIV positive people, whose lowered immune systems make them more vulnerable to infection.

But TB can be hard to spot, as people with HIV don't always show the classic symptoms of the disease.

And as Yuen Chan reports from Nanning in southern China, very few people realise the AIDS epidemic and the TB epidemic go hand in hand.
