Will children buy into Kenya’s free schooling?

Free primary schooling for children everywhere by 2015 – that's the target set by the international community drawn up at the UN's Millennium Summit three years ago.

In Kenya a step has been taken towards achieving that target – the government has abolished all fees in the country's public primary schools.

But recent research shows that not all children in Kenya have stayed away from school for economic reasons. Dan Teng'o visited a school just outside the country's capital, Nairobi.
