Plans show vision for new favela pre-school

Casa do Zezinho - Panos London

Plans for the Casinha, or “Little House”, reveal the new favela pre-school to be built at Casa do Zezinho. Six hundred children between three and six years old will attend classes in the three-storey building. A butterly garden is to be built at the top of the palm tree, shown in the plans. In addition there will be plastic tubes linking the classrooms that will allow children to slide from one class to another if something is bothering them and they want to leave. The teachers will then know the child is unhappy for some reason and can assess his or her needs.
